How Engineering Technology Students Perceive Mathematics

Engineering Technology (ET) is often combined with that of Engineering. Although based on a more hands-on approach and theoretical approach, the two majors share very similar pedagogy in teaching students same engineering scientific principles. An observation by an ET professor found than not would eschew use mathematical computations instead provide answers they believe to be correct, without computation or explanation. Leading researchers delve into possible reasons as why are reluctant utilize mathematics. This study utilized in-person interviews 15 undergraduate participants from Midwestern University United States America ascertain how perceive The results although were stated hate mathematics open using mathematics, there was slight apprehension towards math due bad experiences being able connect conceptual nature visual real-life scenarios used facing. this help lay foundation for future research studies geared further understanding apprehensive ultimately overcome apprehension.
